اعْزِفُوا أَمْهَرَ عَزْفٍ مَعَ الْهُتَافِ، رَنِّمُوا لَهُ تَرْنِيمَةً جَدِيدَةً. (Arabic Life Application Bible) - Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy. (NIV) PSALMS 33.3

New Year Resolutions - 2007

First resolution - To be a better Christian. To act as a Christian. To be, a true believer. John 4:23 - 24: "23Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth". Time to change.

Second - To change my attitudes. To throw away all bad habits. To be a better person. A person that's not only happy, but a person that can be looked up to. To stop skipping classes. To stop being on the internet for more than an hour. To joke less and be serious more.

Third - To memorise verses. To do my daily devotions. To bring souls to God. To share to my family and friends. Thus, I need to be bold.

Fourth - To stop complaining, to stop fretting. To start accepting my bad side, and to start suggesting not complaining. To stop slander, to stop backstabbing. To be honest.

Fifth - To be more hardworking. To study smart, to revise. To saying NOW instead of LATER. To force myself instead of letting other people force me. To excel in my studies.

Sixth - To a good drummer. To serve in church. To serve God. To praise the Lord. To glorify HIS name. To start to serve God with guitar. To be more polite when teaching people.

Seventh - To say NO at times. To not to give in to heavy duties. To organise my time. To achieve my goal next year - SPM.

Eight - To make a difference in my school. To make CF legal in my school. To throw away all anger, laying it down to God for the Joy He has given to us.

Pretty much that. I believe in my journey to finish next year's race, I'm sure a new resolution will add to this list. I pray to God for the preservarance and boldness to carry out/achieve these resolutions. Time is now, for me to change, for the better tomorrow. Amen.

He dead.

Saddam Hussein has finally fallen. Some people rejoices his death, some mourns. For me, I'm a bit happy. But, does his death change anything from bad to good? Well, he deserved this sentence but yes, this question - Does it change anything? still rings in my head. Well, he's dead, but Iraq is still being "killed" day by day. So, what's the difference? I hate politics because of this racist issues and also killings and bribing. Sigh. My point of view, nothing's gonna change the minds of the terrorists but on the positive side - one tyrant less.

2006 - Good or Bad?

The last day of 2006 is passing by very slowly. Well, I think it's just me being sleepy and not being able to sleep properly. I'm just worried about the Aftershock video for this year's GY Camp. We need to show the Aftershock video tonight but we've not started editing yet. We got like 100+ of video clips to compile and we're yet to start on any. Sigh, hope Larry and Hyon Le will figure out how to edit it. I cracked my head last night to figure out why I can't drag the clips into the timeline in iMovies and Final Cut. Hmmm, maybe I'm just a noob. Anyways, year 2006, is it good, or bad for me? Well, to be honest, it's good AND bad. Hahah! New experiences and chances this year, a lot of blessings and change in my life, also bitter memorise, and bad attitude still linger in me this year. So yeah, I'm gonna write a summary of all the good and bad things that happen to me this year, hopefully I remember all, I'm doing this spontaneously(sp?).

Good

Started the year 2006 all hyped up after the GY Camp 2005 - The Encounter. Yes, I realised that I've grown matured spiritually but haven't reached the adult stage where I can really listen to God's voice. So yes, school started and it was alright. Kenneth Gan asked me to join the team for some competition about some kiosk thingy. And yes, we got third, I didn't do much though! Hahah! Also, I joined the Sepak Takraw team for school. We got third/fourth placing in the non-Malay regu. That's really an experience. Then after those both competitions, I'm off to America to celebrate my brother's graduation! I miss that time! I miss my brother! I miss USA! I wish to return to America again, but the next time I go, I hope I'll go there to study. I've a goal, that is to study in America. The atmoshpere is great! Here are some pictures during the trip:

In Kuala Lumpur International Airport - KLIA. Just some posing with them yummy chocolates!

An hour stop in Stockholm, Sweden.

After 23 hours of flying, finally reached the airport. The guy with me is my brother (YAY!), Aaron Raj. Well, thought we've finally reached his apartment, but, I found out we had to travel another 2 hours to reach his place 0.0! HAHAH!

Outside my brother's apartment.

Just woke up after all them travelling in brother's apartment. Forgive me for looking bad.

I think my parents and I lazed a bit in the apartment and all. Nothing big, then I remember my first top class French three course meal in USA.

My apetiser, or however you spell that 0.o HAhah!

My brother and I in the restaurant.

After lunch, we were just walking around that certain area and yeah, ended up in some hall. Music hall.

My mum and I.

Then I remember visiting some historical sites. Philly (Philadelphia) is where the Americans signed a treaty with the British settlers - Independance Day.

The Liberty Bell =P. Hahah!

Then yeah, we went for my brother's graduation. It was awesome! Wow, SO MANY PEOPLE IN A STADIUM! It was a chilly evening. CURSES! Hahah!

My brother's name being announced.

My brother and I. My brother is feeling very anxious to go party with his friends. HAHAH!

The next day, brother had this commancement(sp?) thing. Where all them graduates will be there in the stadium together. So yeah, imagine how pack the stadium was! Haha!

Jodie Foster at the commancement.

Just posing on the street. Hahah!

Then yeah, after that, we went to Washington DC.

First stop - the Hospital =P. hahah!

Then we went to some musuems - all FREE!!!! Hahah! Very nice museums! Love them.

And of course, the White House =).

To safe cost, my family stayed in my dad's friend;s house. Very nice people! Miss them too!

The children. Super cute people!

And then we went back to Philly to pack our stuff. But it ain't the end yet! We went to NYC AFTER THAT! WOOHOO!!!

Having lunch in a Korean restaurant after travelling to NYC.

The hotel I stayed in NYC. Very umm, artistic design.

I stayed beside that^ =P. Hahah!

And yeah, we went to few places along 5th Avenue. All in walking distance. Went to the Empire States Building, Trump Tower, Rockerfella Centre and some other streets. Some pictures. Sorry I can't upload all, taking too much time! HAHAH!

On the 88th floor of Empire State Building. Freaking cold! Hahah!

Trump Tower.

Rockerfella Centre.

MTV Headquaters.

So yeah, after that, time to go home.

My last picture with my brother and parents in America. Miss my brother!

So yeah, a lot more of pictures to upload but I'm lazy. Altogether, the trip was great, weather kinda suck but yeah, love it. I missed my mid term examinations though =P. Hahah! Glory to God!

The only thing that keeps me going to school is for the Christian Fellowship. If not for the CF, I would've changed school already. STAR CF this year was awesome. Eventhough we're not legal but we're growing in quantity and quality! We had a lot of activities this year, few salvation also. And yes, it's sad that our CF had to end early this year. But something "good" happened to me I think. God has finally showed me the purpose why I'm still in my school. I've been chosen as next year's CF president! Ouch! Unbelievable? Too bad, God believes me. Then yes, the next best thing that happened this year was, the chance to serve in the Praise and Woship team for this year's Interschool Rally - ChapterII! WHEEE! Finally! My greatest dream has come true!

Me on drums during praise and worship session.

The team.

Really great praising the Lord with the talents He has given me! Hope to play again next year.

Then yeah, for education wise, to me, I think I did well for my end term examinations. My first ever term exam this year and yeah, kinda rock for me. 7A's out of ten subjects. Well, I screwed up in them three papers but, thank God for the results! Also, there's the chance of serving God in the GY Media ministry. I posted that in here also. Other good stuff too. But that's just the summary and I'm typing whatever that comes through my mind. So yeah, there're loads more good stuff that happened to me. the BEST is spiritual maturity for God. Amen. Hope to mature more next year.

Bad

A lot of things went bad. I used to remember my praise and worship practise very well but now I;m forgetful. Sigh. Hope to change this habit next year. Gah. Forgetful me! Grrr! Then yeah, this year, I've started to skip classes and fooling around too much. I broke people's heart and stuff. I didn't get an A in my language subjects and the most easy subject in my curricular - EST. Sigh. And yes, I've slander people. I've backstabbed people. I've sin a lot. I hope to throw all these away. And let more way for the good stuff to enter into my life!

So that's pretty much of my summary. A lot of bad stuff. I will not post it! Hope I can change my attitude, my habit, my thinking also next year. Time to excel Spiritually, Mentally, Sosially and of course, physically - means, lose weight! Haah! Well, all glory goes to God! Amen! Will post about resolutions in another post.

Oh yeah!

Before I forget, congratulations to my cousin - Yip Joey and also to Mei Yen (wub), for getting straight A's in their PMR examinations! Wheee! Thank God that Joey didn't break the long run my family has been having =P. Let's just hope I don't fail in SPM next year. HAHAHAH! And to those who didn't achieve their goal in PMR, don't be sad, because it's kind a useless examination because it doesn't end your dreams. Don't be sad, instead, strive for the best in Form 4 and 5. Do your best in SPM, that's the paper that really matters, if you're not going to Form 6. So yeah, God bless everyone! No matter what results you got, or how angry/sad you feel about yourself, or how your parents are mad about you, just know this - that GOD LOVES YOU.

YEN GOT STRAIGHT A'S!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!

This just hit me!
Psalm 37:8

8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
do not fret—it leads only to evil.

I think I'll stop.

Measat WHAT?!

Source

The headlines read: M'ian TV viewers to get 176 channels next year.

Also, on the lift off day, I heard on the radio that they said that communications rate will speed up. Internet Connection, phone line stuff like that will increase in speed. And also less interfearance and less disturbance and etc on negative stuff. But, what the crap. MEASAT III is already up there and, WHY THE CRAP IS STREAMYX GIVING ME PROBLEM?! OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!

Found the source! HERE!!

They say - "Malaysians will not only be able to enjoy a greater selection of television channels but also have easy access to the Internet using high-speed connections, which will be available throughout the country. "

What the crap? Man, THIS IS STUPID!!! Come on, I'm paying my bills, so, WORK YOU FREAKING PEOPLE! I hate to blame/accuse people before I know the real story but, this is stupid. They changed my port, I BOUGHT a NEW freaking MODEM, so, WHY AM I NOT GETTING WHAT I'VE PAID FOR?! Crap! The connection's like normal Dial-Up. I think I'll switch to Time. Will talk to my dad. Grrrr!

Outing (again)

Alright, today's scheduel was hectic again! Hahah! Woke up at almost 12 noon. Woke up with a terrible inflamation in my throat. So I went for a checkup. It only took the doctor like 5 minutes to check me but I waited for like, 15 minutes for my turn and 10 minutes for my medicine - which I've yet to take because my throat is fine after the checkup 0.0! Haha! after that, went to have lunch. I ordered Kon Loh Mee - direct translation from cantonese to English - Dry Noodles (hahah) with chicken curry. Wait, I ASKED my mum to order that for me. But guess what, I only got them noodles without the curry. So I went to the lady and asked her to add the curry, she gave my noodles to her maid and aksed her maid to add it for me. I went back to my table, then she came, with the plate full with OIL! I'm like, oh my goodness, she ruined my appetite! Grrr. I blame mum! Haha! Then after that, parents and I went to a church member's house to visit. Then late, I came back, took a short bath, and then went to the outing Adrian Yap has been planning for the Chapter II Interschool Rally 2006 Praise and Worship team. So yeah, we met up in OldTown Kopitiam - don't know why they chose it and yeah, Adrian only called a few of us from the team. He forgot many of them members. He forgot Sam Ng, he forgot the two keyboardist, and also another praise leader. Hahah! (Will post on ChapterII next day). Yeah, so only Zlwin, Adrian, Priscilla, Swee Vien and I went for this so called "gathering". Hahah! Ate and spoke then we went to Baskin Robins. Ate some ice cream. Fellowship again, took some pictures and went back at 7pm. Will post pictures tomorrow. Then after that, went out to watch movie with parents at 8pm - The Curse of the Gold Flower =P. Nice movie. Will post my "review" on it next time. YEah, pretty much that, and oh yeah, I bought my school shoes 0.0! HAHAHAH! That's all, will update with pictures and will post about Interschool Rally 2006! Wheeeee!!!

Streamyx

Is there any better and RELIABLE Internet Service Provider in Malaysia? I need a GOOD broadband service connection that doesn't simply cheat my money and some fast connection that is ALWAYS working. Dammit, TM Net's Streamyx is sucking each and everyday! I'm thinking of getting a DSL but my dad doesn't think similar as I do. I'm gonna check out whether Jaring is providing any broadband services or not. Wanna change. The connection that Streamyx is giving me is not consistent. Sometimes you get a fast and efficient connection, somtimes it just sucks eggs! What the crap?! Then there's one time where I can't use my internet connection for almost a month because of my port in the TM Net server is spoilt. WHAT THE CRAP?! How can they give me that bad service?! I'm a paying customer! So crap! Before I knew my port was down (like, a week!), the technician keep saying that my modem was faulty. OH MY GOODNESS! It's my third modem this year and you guys are saying my new modem is faulty?! Man, that means TM is selling some faulty modem! My dad got freaking angry and told the person on the TM Net tollfree line to stop complaining about the modem because it's new. And guess what, it's not the modem's fault. It was the freaking PORT! Grrr. Looks like our "Number #1" ISP is failing on me. And yeah, I hope there's a better ISP in Malaysia so I can stop supporting this crappy connection. Forgive me for this ranting. Sue me if you want. I'll win the case. Forgive me O'Lord.

New SNARE DRUM!

YEAH! I got a new snare drum! Yay! Went out with parents today to KL after my mum's examination. We went to Sungai Wang, parked our car there and then went to a chicken rice shop. After having lunch at 4PM(!!), we went to Bentley music shop to do some "window shopping" for cymbals. So yeah, walked up to the first floor and then, I saw them PEarl Signature Snare drums =). Last night I was browsing for snare drums on Pearl's website and yeah, I came across Joey Jordison's signature snare drum.

Joey's signature snare drum =P. He's from the band, Slipknot.

To be honest, I was looking for Dennis Chambers's signature snare drum but it was out of stock! Haha! So yeah, I told my dad jokinglly (a little) that I wanted this snare drum. And guess what?! To my surprise, he told the salesman, "Get me one of this." Wow! Hahah! Can't believe it! Haha! Finally, a SNARE DRUM!!! WHEEEE!! So happy! Dad also bought me two pair of Tama sticks! Yeah baby! Thank God!

My new snare drum =). I wub it!

After that, we went to Low Yat Plaza(sp?) and saw many kinds of notebooks and computers. So many things! Many cellphones too! Found out my dreak phone - Sony Ericson W810i's price has dropped to RM1099 already! Hopefully by next year's Chinese New Year, it'll drop till RM800 or something. I bought a thumbdrive and a mouse. The thumbdrive's space is 1GB. It's a Kingston thumbdrive and it's very tiny 0.0! Hahah! The mouse ain't working. Dammit. It reflects all the time! Grrr... Then after that, we drove down to Mid Valley. The initial plan was to watch the new movie - The Curse of the Golden Flower or something like that. But too bad the next screening was too late. Then we went to have dinner in the food court. And yeah, pretty much of more walking later. Legs were aching! Hahha! That's all for my outing with my parents. Regretted not bringing my camera with me. Missed snapping some pictures of the beautiful decorations in Mid Valley! Really awesome!

Thank GOD once again for my new snare drum! Another reason why should I serve HIM all the time. Glory to God! And yeah, my view on going out with my parents changed after today =). It ain't that bad after all =).

PS: Today as in 27th of December 2006. Haha! Sorry!

Should I?

Should I create another forum? I'm getting too bored already. Hahah! I've lost my creativity to design anything. I'm all worned out from drums... My double bass pedal is giving me a problem. The left pedal is screwed up! I don't know how to repait it. GAH!!!!! Gonna try to repair it later at night =P. My neighbourhood needs a bit more noise these days. Haha! I think they miss me being noisy =P. Anyways, please tell me whether I should create another teen forum or something. I suddenly have this passion once more - eventhough all the forums I create goes down the drain. Gah!

EDIT: The new version of Opera sucks! Stay on the old version.

A Love So Pure

A song by underOATH - A Christian metal band. Try to search and download for this song. WARNING - It's very heavy. It's a screamo song. The lyrics:

Always did it on my own then one day I realized
I was blind,, nothing I could do on my own
Turn, we have found a way to see, look up... feel the Almighty
Take control as we gaze into your eyes
We're just the tool you use to bring this world to you
Oh, Lord, how we love you
With your grace, take away the hurt and the bruises inside,
reach down let your glory reside
The cross carried for all of us, paint the image in my mind
So I will never think I am something,
but nothing am I but you, you are something
Lord you keep me alive, you give me rest at night
When there seems no way to find calmness in the storm you come and
take me in your arms and then the waves drown me no more
With you I'll last this battle and many others
Through the ages your name will reigh forever... never to be replaced
In these trials I face, I pray you humble me
Humble me I want to be like you Jesus more and more like you
I was crucified on that day with Christ
Nailing you there with sin, accepting you
I nailed my soul to the cross and now my life begins
This world so cold but your love keeps me warm
My father holds me in his nailed scarred hands which I put there
But for some reason he still loves me with all his heart
Even through I betray him constantly
He always keeps his arms open waiting, till I give up my old was
God my father, you are the only one that can give me comfort
You touch my heart in such a way that all I can do is cry your name
Jesus Christ I love you
My heart aches for your love

Amen.

Christmas 2006

The time of the year, yes people! It's Christmas! It's Jesus Christ's birthday! Well, not exactly the exact date of His birth. Just a symbolic day. The day was chosen because it was a public holiday or something. That's all. And I think that He wasn't born on 1AD aswell. Just a thought. Anyways, Christmas service in the morning. This year's service was kinda different. We had a One Church choir presentation. Very nice but the sound system sucked today. Then after that, did some stuff then in the evening my parents had a gathering in my house. Just few relatives and some of their friends. Haha! None of mine. But at least my cousins came! Haha! Well, had some fun time. And yes, stuffed up with traditional food and also my favourite food - Nasi Lemak! Wheee! Hahah! Nothing much this Christmas. To those who gave me presents, thanks for them! Your presents will be awaiting you this Sunday. You guys are so gonna kill me! Haha! Thanks for them presents. Wasn't expecting any. Haha! I'm not the present type guy. The best gift - Jesus Christ coming down to earth to die for our salvation and then resseructed again! Awesome gift! Amen! Some pictures:

Took it before leaving house for service. Dad and I. Mum ain't a good photographer =P. Hahah!

Group photo at night after shooting them string-in-a-can thing. Cost me RM4. Bought two. I shot one and Chen Han shot one. Haha! RM8 finished just like that...... Haha! Picture of my cousins and my neighbour and friend(s?).

Few more pictures but lazy to upload. Not much of nice pictures. Haha! Wasn't the photograher =P.

I WANT GIBSON LES PAUL! Brother getting for me! Wheeee! Can't wait! Wanna go shop for cymbals!!!! Gah! Zildijian Oriental China pleaseeeee... Hahah! RM900... Suck egg, Jon... HAHAHHA!
